Candidates for the 2011 election year need your vote by Friday, April 15th. Results will be announced on May 15th.

Northeast- One available seat to be filled in the 2011 Election
Central Area- Four available seats to be filled in the 2011 Election
West Area- Two available seats to be filled in the 2011 Election
Southeast Area- One available seat to be filled in the 2011 Election
Northwest Area- One available seat to be filled in the 2011 Election

Term of office: July 01, 2011- June 30, 2012

BCBA members are encouraged to vote for candidates in each geographical area, regardless of office location.

Florida voters will select  nominees for U.S. Senate, governor, attorney general, Congress, Florida Senate, Florida House of Representatives, and County Commission.

In an unprecedented election year, we at the Broward County Bar Association, in carrying out one of its charter objectives to inform the public concerning legal issues, invited each of the judicial candidates to participate in a video presentation at a nominal cost of $175, accessible on our BCBA Website.

The BCBA is also participating with other local voluntary Bar Associations prior to the August 24th election to present a judicial forum, and we look forward to continuing to assist the public in identifying the candidates and their qualifications, with a goal that the upcoming election can be conducted on an informed basis.

More than twenty South Florida voluntary bar associations are co-sponsoring the two candidate forums that are scheduled for July 22 (Circuit Court) and July 29 (Broward County Court).

Each will be held at Nova Southeastern University.
